Check Your Sump Pumps!

Due to the extreme snowfall that we’ve experienced statewide this past winter, we want to take this opportunity to remind all policyholders to check your sump pumps and discharge hoses before the spring thaw. Making sure that your sumps are working and are able to freely discharge the water away from your home may prevent the frustration, inconvenience and expense of having water damage in your basement. Pay special attention to the discharge hoses that may be buried beneath the snow and are obstructed by snow and/or ice.
