At De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance Company of South Dakota, we are committed to fostering growth and investing in the future of students in South Dakota. As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce that we are currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2026 De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance Company of South Dakota Scholarships.

De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance Company will award two $1,000.00 scholarships to current high school seniors or current college or technical college students whose parents or guardians are current policyholders with De Smet Farm Mutual. Additional eligibility requirements are listed below. Please submit completed applications either via email to ann.glanzer@dsfm.net or via U.S. Mail to De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance, Attn: Scholarship PO Box 9, De Smet, South Dakota 57231.

Complete the Application – The deadline for applications is July 1, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Parent or guardian must be insured with De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance
  • You must be a high school senior or currently attending a college or technical college, or involved in a trade program
  • You will be or have started your higher education or training within one (1) year of your high school graduation.
  • Complete the application in its entirety
  • Official high school/college transcript must be enclosed with your application
  • Applications without a student statement will not be considered
  • You must submit a picture of yourself for a press release
  • Completed applications must be received in office by July 1st.
